European Union President. Decision to-night?
Will the British oppose for the third time against a Belgian candidate this time ?
They used their veto right in the past against Jean-Luc Dehaene and Guy Verhofstadt.

Auriflam, it happened twice in 15 years. So there were most certainly a lot more candidates then only Flemish ones.
Herman Van Rompuy may not be very known in Europe, but he is very experienced in a country, difficult to govern (Belgium). That experience may make him “the right man on the right place”. The future president of the European Union (27 countries) should not have charisma in the first place. Far more important will be his ability to listen to and talk with the leaders of those countries.
I hope so, do we want A flemish politician the world has never heard of…sorry if you find that offensive but I want some body with charisma, some one who will fight for our rights…I dont know if this man will do.
Are all the candidate Flemish leaders…I smell something fishy…
Im am guessing you are none British, who would you like to see as our EU president?
It seems we have our man rumpy in the top spot, lets not judge till the gravedigger has had some time, good luck too him.
